english threeee brigsy awards

I always enjoy English class, though that might be because every English class ive ever had, has been with awesome interesting teachers. Plus I like English in general. I think one of the most interesting moments in this class was learning how many different things can affect you while giving a speech. Now whenever someone does a casual speech in another class, I cringe when they say “this is my report on ____,” so that mustve had an effect on me ha. The most useless part? Oh defiantly that audio-book thing. I know it taught us how to read with inflection and stuff, but Kayla and I had so many difficulties with the dang thing! Bleh and we didn’t even end up turning them in. Oh jeeze hardest I laughed? We laugh every day so I cant bring up one in particular. I like how we [mainly brigs] can insult each other and no one gets offended about it. Well like I said earlier, I think the whole speech thing will help me in the future. I know I will have to give more speeches in the future, but I know I will have control of my nerves when I give them. Best thing about Brigs, we can laugh in his class and learn at the same time. Not many teachers know how to do that properly. Tips to make it better for the future? Just not more audio books! Or maybe just shorten it down to two chapters in the book. Overall, great year, and I learned a lot :D hellooo summer

decisions

Gosh this blog is like secretly deep. I actually have to think :p Okay this may sound really really cheesy and im sorry, but its the first thing that popped in my head. my freshman year i liked zac alott but i had never heard him talk [naturally]. but then i found out he liked me too and he started talking to me haha. we became friends and he asked me out. of course i thought it over but it was still basically the easiest decision ive made, even though it was 2 years ago, that i can think of :D
okay now toughest. guhrr i dont knoow....
Okay, maybe when i was really thinking about what i want to do for college. that was actually just the other day. i didnt make a concrete decision, but i really thought about it and talked through it with my mom. it just kind of made me realize that college is alot closer than it looks and i havent even decided what i want to major in o_0 oh well. i'll figure it out.

childhood lovers!

Okay so everyone had a crush on some cartoon character. mine was John smith from pocahontas. Man what a babe. i know the real john smith was a jerk, but the cartoon guy was the besst. he was strong and nice and had blonde flowy hair. every 6 year old girls dream?

Muppet Treasure Island was and still is one of my favorite movies of all time. Long John Silver was the pirate cook on the boat and he was played by Tim Curry. He had a peg leg and a gargly voice and everything. perfect pirate. plus he ended up being the bad guy, and everybody has a thing for the bad guy. I loved to sing along with him when he sang "what should he do with a drunken sailor." the thing is, tim curry also played Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show (as a transvestite), and pennywise in the movie IT. I think hes a great actor, no matter how messed up his roles usually are.

teaching english 3.

If i was teaching english 3, i would definitely try to make the class fun because alot of students reeally arent interested in reading and writing. so i'd try to make fun assignments that somehow involved making things and doing hands-on activities that kept the students attentive. i would keep an air horn in the top drawer of my desk in case someone fell asleep during class. i would try to show movies or TV shows that would keep the class awake and help them learn. i would make them take surveys about which book they would want to read or which topic they would like to cover. on nice days, i'd take the class outside and teach out there because nice weather always puts people in a better mood. i would allow them to bring food to class, and listen to music when they work.

yum food.

Wellll i love chinese food overall, so i would have to say a few of those things. crab rangoooon. yum. with that red dipping sauce. and that sweet saucy chicken stuff. cant remember what its called... Also cheesecake. Ahh the good expensive kind that melts in your mouth. Mangos, i love mangos! but they have to be ripe or else its like eating an apple and it sucks :p Frosted mini-wheats cereal is the bomb. but i cant stand it once they get soggy :p oh and it has to be strawberry frosting.

okay now onto the hates. I cant stand asparagus. its all tangy and blehh. plus i've heard it makes your pee stink (austin powers) but i've never eaten enough to test that theory. Blue cheese is raunchy. it reminds me of mold (which i know it technically is), but blehh its sick. Cantaloupe is kinda nasty too in my opinion. it tastes waxy. like im eating a melon colored crayon.

5 vaca spots

I'm pretty sure i would like to go to New York for a vacation, just to say I've been there. I dont think I'd want to stay there for a long time. I would most likely get annoyed with all of the loud traffic and tall buildings. hmm my second choice would be Seattle Washington. All of that greenery and coastal views would be beautiful and refreshing. Butttt i would most likely get sick of all the rain. 3rd on my list is San Francisco Cali. I'd just want to soak up some sun and go shopping :D My fourth choice is...Gettysburg Pennsylvania. I've always wanted to go there just to see all the history and old colonial houses. also all of the battle fields would be interesting to look at. My last destination would be Helena Montana. I've never seen the mountains there and i'd want to go in the summer so i could go camping and ride horses. i think it'd be gorgeous.

life of pocahontas

Now im going to be writing about the cartoon character in the disney movie, not the real indian woman. i know there is a Pocahontas 2, but im going to pretend that was never made. [the first movies are always the best ones]. John Smith got better from his gunshot wound, and sailed another boat back to the land where Pocahontas lives. They got married in the village and her father preformed the marriage. Miko the raccoon ended up being a girl, and had lots of little furry raccoon babies. Pocahontas had many children and they were all very adventurous. Her and John built a home way up in the mountains and lived there until they grew old. After Pocahontas died, her spirit joined the windy leaves that flow around when that colors of the wind song comes on :]

1A celeb prez

I believe that Brendan Fraser should be president. He has lots of experience in different movies like being in george of the jungle, the mummy, and journey to the center of the earth. soo he can take on anything that gets thrown at him while hes in the office. He also is an amateur photographer, so he could add some creativity to the US. No one hates him, so no one would disapprove of him being president. He is very like-able in all his movies and funny too. He would most likely be an easy going leader, but he would know what to do in time of crisis. Maybe we would all change our transportation to swinging on vines. that would sure cut down on global warming. Hmm. Vice president would be johnny depp. Hes a little weird but you can tell hes smart. :]

weird explanations

Mechanical pencils are used in everyday life by all of us. But do you know how they really work? When you run out of lead, you push down on the top of your eraser to force the lead through the end of your pencil. That's what they want you to think. Every mechanical pencil is made with tiny bugs inside. These bugs produce lead for your pencil. When you push on that eraser, it wakes up the bugs and they scurry to produce more lead. They then feed the thin piece of graphite through the small hole in the tip of your pencil. When you throw your pencil away or loose it, the bugs crawl out and find another pencil to inhabit. Its as simple as that.

supernatural loove?

Okay so i admit i am one of those girls who is freakishly obsessed with all four books in the twilight saga. At age fourteen when i read the book twilight, i fell in love with a fictional character that was also a vampire. I know there are many different forms of vampires that have been portrayed through movies, books and tv shows. I'd most definatly want to date a vampire though. Based on what i've read, they are polite, gorgeous, and smart. I mightve been brainwashed through twilight but thats fiiine with me. I would date a vampire for sure (preferably edward) >.<

3 wishes

Okay i know this is verrry original, but i would have to wish for like 1 billion dollars. I mean that way i dont have to wish for anything that would cost money. i would also wish that there was no debt or people in poverty. does that count for two? oh well im counting it as one :p lastly....I guess i would say world peace. because it kinda sucks when everyone is threatening to kill each other. i hope that includes no more racism because thats dumb too. i would donate money to charity's and stuff with my one billion dollars too. i would travel the world and enjoy the peace and happiness that had suddenly happened to everyone :]

Hatin' the media

"Blankets are OK but they can slip and slide, plus your hands are trapped inside."

Come on, we've lived with blankets for thousands of years and they've been fine. But these commercials for the snuggie blankets? Its a blanket with sleeves basically. They are saying that you get all trapped up in the blanket and that it gets frustrating when you cant reach for objects when your caught up in a blanket. Okay so then whats a robe? Warm material with armholes that you tie around your body. It's not much different. Oh! And on the commerical for Snuggie Blankets, it shows a whole family at a football game and all of them are wearing these identical giant blanket things. Everyone else in the stands are wearing your normal hoodies and coats. Would you really go to a sporting event with your family with all of you wearing these giant matching blanket things? Its dumb, and infomercials are annoying like that.

Beauty

Over last spring break, my family and i traveled to Gulf Shores Alabama, and stayed in a nice hotel, 200 feet from the ocean. The weather was gorgeous, and from our balcony you could watch the waves roll in. One night my mom had made some really good food, and after we had sat in the hot tub for a little while, we all went back up to our room. With the door open that led out to the balcony, an ocean breeze floated in and around our room. I stood out on the balcony and leaned on the railing. It was a perfectly clear night, and there was a full moon that was sitting out over the ocean. I couldn't see the waves, but I could hear them. And the moon reflected on the water, casting a long line of white all the way up to the shore. It was so peaceful and relaxing, I believe it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Dear me

In ten years I hope that i'd be doing well. I would be nearing my 27th birthday and im pretty sure i'd be possibly engaged or even married by then. I think the economy would have gotten out of this recession. There will be alot of hybrid cars, and people will be greener than they are today. I think i will have a pretty good job, and i'll be living in a nice house or apartment, not sure where at though. I want no more than two children, so maybe there will be one of them running around, or on its way. I would also have one dog and one cat. :]

grandparents wedding

My grandparents wedding probably wasn't the most expensive marriage. I don't know what it was really like, but she had a simple white dress and there probably wasnt a huge crowd. They most likely got married in one of the small local catholic churches in town.Add Image People werent surprised they were getting married. They were a really attractive couple, and that may have made some people jealous, but no one would ruin it because they were so good together and they had known eachother for a long time. The women mightve worn sundresses and hats, while the men wore their best suits. Maybe they ate a cake that one of my grandmas sisters had baked.

almost famous

Taking pictures is an easy way to express how you're feeling without using words, just by using faces and objects. So if I could be famous for anything, I would like to be a well known photographer. That way people would know who I was and know my work. Then I could also get more money or new equipment to use. And with the money and new equipment, I could start my own business and work out of a building. That way I could be hired to take pictures at weddings, for senior pictures, or just take pictures to frame and sell.
