english threeee brigsy awards

I always enjoy English class, though that might be because every English class ive ever had, has been with awesome interesting teachers. Plus I like English in general. I think one of the most interesting moments in this class was learning how many different things can affect you while giving a speech. Now whenever someone does a casual speech in another class, I cringe when they say “this is my report on ____,” so that mustve had an effect on me ha. The most useless part? Oh defiantly that audio-book thing. I know it taught us how to read with inflection and stuff, but Kayla and I had so many difficulties with the dang thing! Bleh and we didn’t even end up turning them in. Oh jeeze hardest I laughed? We laugh every day so I cant bring up one in particular. I like how we [mainly brigs] can insult each other and no one gets offended about it. Well like I said earlier, I think the whole speech thing will help me in the future. I know I will have to give more speeches in the future, but I know I will have control of my nerves when I give them. Best thing about Brigs, we can laugh in his class and learn at the same time. Not many teachers know how to do that properly. Tips to make it better for the future? Just not more audio books! Or maybe just shorten it down to two chapters in the book. Overall, great year, and I learned a lot :D hellooo summer

decisions

Gosh this blog is like secretly deep. I actually have to think :p Okay this may sound really really cheesy and im sorry, but its the first thing that popped in my head. my freshman year i liked zac alott but i had never heard him talk [naturally]. but then i found out he liked me too and he started talking to me haha. we became friends and he asked me out. of course i thought it over but it was still basically the easiest decision ive made, even though it was 2 years ago, that i can think of :D
okay now toughest. guhrr i dont knoow....
Okay, maybe when i was really thinking about what i want to do for college. that was actually just the other day. i didnt make a concrete decision, but i really thought about it and talked through it with my mom. it just kind of made me realize that college is alot closer than it looks and i havent even decided what i want to major in o_0 oh well. i'll figure it out.

childhood lovers!

Okay so everyone had a crush on some cartoon character. mine was John smith from pocahontas. Man what a babe. i know the real john smith was a jerk, but the cartoon guy was the besst. he was strong and nice and had blonde flowy hair. every 6 year old girls dream?

Muppet Treasure Island was and still is one of my favorite movies of all time. Long John Silver was the pirate cook on the boat and he was played by Tim Curry. He had a peg leg and a gargly voice and everything. perfect pirate. plus he ended up being the bad guy, and everybody has a thing for the bad guy. I loved to sing along with him when he sang "what should he do with a drunken sailor." the thing is, tim curry also played Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show (as a transvestite), and pennywise in the movie IT. I think hes a great actor, no matter how messed up his roles usually are.

teaching english 3.

If i was teaching english 3, i would definitely try to make the class fun because alot of students reeally arent interested in reading and writing. so i'd try to make fun assignments that somehow involved making things and doing hands-on activities that kept the students attentive. i would keep an air horn in the top drawer of my desk in case someone fell asleep during class. i would try to show movies or TV shows that would keep the class awake and help them learn. i would make them take surveys about which book they would want to read or which topic they would like to cover. on nice days, i'd take the class outside and teach out there because nice weather always puts people in a better mood. i would allow them to bring food to class, and listen to music when they work.
